The Greatness of the Quran by Mufti Ebrahim Desai
In expressing the greatness of the Quran at the Jalsa of Madrassah Tarteelul Quran in Pietermaritzburg on the 8th December, Mufti Ebrahim Desai Saheb stated the following:
There are 77,450 words in the Quran and 309,800 principle sciences in the Quran.
He presented the concept of the Big Bang theory, Amoeba, Embryology, steel being extraterrestrial from the Quran. He mentioned the inferiority complex of the Ummah and stated how unfortunate it is that when the Quran refers to all these discoveries 1500 years ago we are not inspired, but we feel inspired with scientific discoveries.
Mufti Saheb spoke about his honorable ustaadh of Hifdh, Marhoom Hafiz Abdur Rahman Mia Saheb (Rahimahullah) and Shaykh Hudhayfi’s (Imam of Masjidun Nabawi) message to him with a gift from Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).
He also spoke about how the fragrance of musk emanated from the mouth of Imam Nafi Madani (Rahimahullah) and Imam Qaloon (Rahimahullah) being stone deaf but was able to miraculously hear the recitation of the Quran.
He also spoke about Moulana Badre Aalam (Rahimahullah’s) respect for a Hafidh and his body being intact in Jannatul Baqi and about a girl from Rangoon who was born a Hafidha and Moulana Zafar Ahmed Usmani (Rahimahullah’s) comments about her.
