Opinion Words of Islamic Scholars on Tablighi Jamaat

The Path

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar radiyalaahu anhuma had mentioned, "Whoever wishes to follow the way of another, should follow the ways of those who have passed away. These were the companions of Muhammad sallalaahu alayhi wassalam, who were the best people of this Ummah. Their hearts were most pious, their knowledge was deepest and they were least pretentious. They were people whom Allah Ta'ala had chosen to be companions of His Nabi sallalaahu alayhi wassalam and for the transmission of His Deen. You people should emulate their character and mannerisms. By the Rabb of the Kaabah! The Sahabah radiyalaahu anhum of Rasulullah sallalaahu alayhi wassalam were correctly guided."

Follwing quote from Scholars will help to understand the Movement of Tablighi Jamaat .

Maulana Ilyas said

"The actual aim of this movement is to teach the Muslims everything with which The Holy
Prophet Muhammadcame, (That is to get the Ummah attached to the complete system of thought and practice of Islam.) This is our aim.
As for this movement of jamaats and Tablighi Gusht- these are the initial means of achieving this aim; and the instruction and teaching of Kalimah and Salah (Kalima Namaz correction) are, in other words, the ABC of our complete syllabus.
It is also clear that our Jama'at cannot do all the work. What can be done by them is only that where ever they go, they can only produce a motion and awakening by means of their effort, and attach those people. who are unmindful of religious concerns, to the possessors of deen to their place- and can inspire those people
of their place who have the worry for deen (i.e. ulama and reformers) for making efforts to reform the
ignorant common people. [That is. connecting the public with the ulama and ulama with the public],..."

Maulana Yusuf Rahimullah said…..
To achieve strong connection with Allah and to gain his divine help, the only means are the way of Muhammad. If the following the prophet will be in all sphere of our life then Allah will make us successful irrespective of the situation & worldly means. (Biography page 767)

One of the greatest Islamic scholar of last century Faisal Award Winner Fazilatus Sheikh Syed Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Rahimullah said...........
The Tabligh movement is ideally suited to meet the demand of time and repel the mounting challenge ofdisbelieve and irreligiousness. The present day materialists and Baatil movements make a direct appeal to the common masses and sedulously sow the seed of doubts among them.Ideological debates religious literature and plans and activities that are confined to the elite and do not involve the common man cannot arrest the progress of apostasy and materialism. Only a religious movement which begins at their grassroot and goes straight to the labourers cottage and farmer field and ignores no section of the society can provide an effective answer to the menace of irreligiousness. (Book Life and Mission of Maulana Ilyas Page no 204)

The Great Hadith Scholar and compiler ofMaariful Hadith Hazrat Maulana Manzoor Nomani Rahimulla said................
It (Tabligh Movement) is the start of an era of purely religious effort. Those people who will take part and move forward with courage are certainely the distinguished one.The only thing is at stake is the proper utilisation of time and capabilities given by Allah Tabarak o Taala and the reward is so precious that is even beneficial at the cost of life...........

Hazrat Qari Muhammad Tayyib RahimullahFounder President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) said.....
"There are four ways of attaining self reformation and by good chance, they all happen to be found in the tablighi jama'at. It includes sitting in the company of the pious, it includes dzikr and fikr, it includes brotherhood for the pleasure of Allah, it includes taking lessons from enemies and also taking account of oneself. The tablighi jama'at is a conglomeration of the four. For an average person there can be no way better than this for attaining self-reformation.

Sheikhul Islam Hazrat Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani Rahimullah

"Dear brothers! This is a tablighi gathering and this tabligh was originally the practice of Rasulullah s.a.w. The work you are doing is therefore not insignificant. I give you the glad tidings that Allah has granted you the opportunity to carry out a great service."

Sheikh Saleh Ali Asy-Syuwaiman Hifzullah

"Individuals and personalities from this jamaat came from all over the world. They have one form, one appeal, one idiom, one purpose. As if they were offspring from one person, or as if Allah SWT creates one heart and shares out amongst them. They have no aspiration except desire to hold fast onto the principles of Deen and making effort of rectification between Muslims, paving guidance for the non-Muslims towards the path of Allah. How could the confused and ignorant people dare to abuse and revile these righteous people?"

"And in truth, whosoever participate and join them will certainly become da'ie ilallah through practice and training and long-lasting companionship. Would it be better if I know them since I was a student at the university before, indeed I would have become 'allamah' in dakwah work and all knowledge. This, by Allah, what I declare to Him. And He, the Almighty, will certainly hold me responsible on this on the Day where no wealth, nor kinship, nor help from anyone is of any use."

Sheikh Muhammad Amaan Aly Al-Jamy Hifzullah

"One thing about them that should be accorded special recognition, is that this jamaat feel the sweetness that could not be felt by other jamaats that are carrying out dakwah illallah, their patience and tolerence in dealing with those people whom are undergoing rectification with them and those people who are given guidance, together with husnu dzoon towards them. Their patience is like the patience of a mother towards her beloved child."

Syeikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz r.alayhi

"As for shunning them or ignoring them and giving warnings to people not to mix with them is a terrible mistake indeed. The danger far outweighs its benefits."
